My talented hubby is back behind the brush in between swells. To see photos of the process and his aura of concentration visit my Remote and Raw post here.

On my recent trip to Bali I had the pleasure of a second photo shoot at Sea Circus to capture their colourful new offerings. The food appeared out of the kitchen as fast as I could style and photograph it, with greedy mouthfuls to sustain me in between. It looked like a wild party without the guests.
Sea Circus in Seminyak have landed a lively new American chef and under the direction of her strong arms, an explosion of taste is about to launch onto their dinner menu. Lisa Esposito is also a Bikram yoga teacher and has recently relocated to Bali after feeding and heating the health retreat world in Thailand.
Party food to share, and casual main meals drive the new menu. Relive the retro days with Devils on Horseback, soak thick slices of walnut sourdough in unctuous Mediterranean vegetables or envisage a hot Mexican night as you wrap your hands around a soft taco stuffed with spiced fish, avocado and salsa. Seafood features prominently, and local fruits and herbs star in unique combinations. The mangosteen, rambutan, rocket and red pepper salad that accompanies the slivers of smoked salmon is a stand alone favourite. I'd like it as a main meal, hold the fish. The soba noodle salad with soft edamame and tofu clouds is a satisfying dish for vegans and those hankering for Japanese inspired flavours. A range of imported wines at reasonable (for Bali) prices means you can have a glass of white with your prawns and not get whiplash from the bill.
